My counseling work is grounded in my Zen Buddhist practice. My meditation practice supports a present-moment relationship with each client, creating space for us to explore the landscape of experience together. I practice contemplative psychotherapy, using mindfulness techniques to help clients access their own wisdom. Reflecting on this wisdom together can lead to making choices and taking actions that better reflect clients’ values and the way they would like to be in the world.
I bring a warm, personal and creative approach to my counseling relationships, working with clients to access their passion, joy, and natural capacities for growth. I work with adults, couples, and teens, and have a special interest in working with those at the end of life, and those experiencing loss and grief.
I love building authentic relationships with creative people (and those who would like to bring more creativity into their lives!). I believe that nature can be a partner in healing, and enjoy using ritual and metaphor in my counseling conversations. It's an honor to help hold the stories of my clients - I look forward to hearing yours!
