Welcome! You have done the hard, first step of searching for a therapist. I would love to introduce myself and my practice. I am a queer, fat, white woman who works with LGBTQIA+ folx and women around anxiety, depression, LGBTQ issues, neurodivergence, spiritual abuse, grief, boundaries, fat/body liberation, communication and life transitions. I work with adults (18+). My practice is committed to social and disability justice, anti-racism, fat liberation, affirming neurodivergence, and sex positivity. I am always working to continue to grow in these areas and hope we can create a safe space for you to show up just as you are.
My therapeutic approach is based in relational psychodynamic, narrative, and client centered models. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is crucial as it creates a welcoming environment to explore painful and confusing experiences in a safe place. Additionally, I use a variety of modalities as every client has different needs.
It is so brave to move towards starting therapy. It is my goal to create a warm and safe space for you to explore the parts of you and your story that feel painful or frightening or not enough. In time I hope we can welcome all parts of you to be at home within you and help you find greater compassion and confidence towards yourself.
