I am a licensed clinical psychologist who provides warm and compassionate therapy for adolescents and adults. I offer individual and family therapy, as well as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills training, prenatal and postpartum support, parenting skills, and consultation services. I take an active role in guiding treatment and believe that the foundation of therapy is finding someone you can open up to and feel supported by. I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where we work together to reduce distress and develop plans that will create positive changes.
My treatment approach is practical, solution-focused, and strength based, and incorporates cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy (CBT/DBT), supportive and dynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness practice, play therapy, and behavior management techniques to promote emotional health and well being.
I also offer psychological and psycho-educational evaluations to children and adults. Testing can be helpful when there is lack of clarity or understanding regarding the reasons and causes of emotional, psychological, learning, or behavioral challenges, such as a learning difficulty, ADHD, and/or Autism.
