Therapy is about asking the question: What hurts and why? Together, we will spend time with this question - gently, slowly, carefully. Therapy is not only for those with "capital T" trauma or a mental health diagnosis, but for anyone who would like to get to know themselves, perhaps for the first time. To listen to what emerges when you pay kind, careful attention to yourself. You may be seeking more fulfilling relationships, relief from challenging feelings/behaviors, or deeper self-understanding.
My clients are often looking to unpack anxiety, grief, loneliness, traumatic experiences, past abuse, compulsive behavior, or issues of identity; however, I work with people experiencing a variety of concerns from any background.
I work psychodynamically. Psychodynamic psychotherapy places emphasis on relational experiences, the significance of the past, and developing one’s relationship with oneself. The goal of this work is to expand your ability to live flexibly, realistically, and meaningfully as well as to alleviate the suffering which may bring you to therapy.
