About
Anxiety and depression can get in the way of enjoying life and reaching your full potential. A trusting, collaborative therapeutic relationship, combined with state-of-the-art, evidence-based treatments, can best help you feel relief and reach your goals. I have expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), both of which are active, problem-focused, effective treatments for a wide range of issues. I tailor treatments to each person's specific needs. I aim to create a safe, comfortable environment in which you can gain the tools needed to feel in control again.
I work with adults, adolescents and pre-teens. I specialize in treating anxiety, panic, worry, depression, OCD and substance use. I am also experienced with CBT that targets health concerns, including insomnia and chronic pain. It can be a struggle to change your patterns of behavior or your mood. But, using CBT, I can help you to succeed.
I received my B.A. in Psychology from Columbia University and my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University. I completed my clinical training at Brown University and my postdoctoral work in the VA Hospital System. I have been trained by leading experts in the field. I also supervise doctoral trainees from several top New York area programs.
