Rachel V. Beck is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in practice since 1993. She has an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from Brown University, a Masters in Social Work from Fordham, and a certificate in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from the Washington School of Psychiatry. Rachel is also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200). Rachel’s commitment as a therapist is to join with you to remove obstacles to the life you want to lead. She has a non-judgmental stance that is informed by an understanding of early attachment and how these experiences impact relationships and decision making throughout our lifespan.
At the same time, the focus of your work together is grounded in the here-and-now. Together you and Rachel examine how what you have experienced informs your current relational patterns and the obstacles you face. Rachel firmly believes that change is a process not a single event.
Rachel welcomes all people to her practice, and together you can discover strategies to reframe experiences and see them in a way that is freeing and empowering. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys animal rescue, being in nature, yoga, reading, and roller skating.
