My approach to therapy is gentle but direct. I will support you through our work but also push and challenge you. I want you to know I care but I also want to make sure you have what you need to work on whatever brings you to therapy. Therapy works best if you find a therapist who you can trust so I work to be authentic and transparent. When you meet me as a therapist you meet the same Rachel who you meet in any other setting.
I work with individual mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, or trauma & broader struggles such as faith transitions and grief. I also work with couples issues such as communication, intimacy & parenting. I have worked extensively with problematic sexual behaviors, such as infidelity & the associated betrayal trauma.
I am not currently accepting any clients due to my work as a professor at UVU. I feel strongly about trying to help people find a good fit for a therapist so if you need assistance in that process please feel free to reach out. I'm happy to help with referrals.
