Hello! If you're reading this, it's likely that you're ready to make a change. Whether you are stuck in discontent or uncertainty, wrestling with life's big existential questions, feeling dis-empowered by the weight of oppressive institutions, or working through specific mental health concerns, I want to work with you to find ways to improve your day-to-day life. It is important for you to feel comfortable in a therapeutic space, so the office was designed for peak coziness!
I work from a base of feminist, narrative, and cognitive therapies. It is vital to take into consideration each person’s culture and values, especially for those who identify as members of marginalized communities. Counseling is, above all else, a collaboration between client and counselor. Empowerment and a strengths-focus lead to positive outcomes.
You are the expert on you, whether you know it or not. My role is to help facilitate that knowing - knowing that you are capable, you are competent, and you can grow towards wellness, healing, and mental health, whatever that may mean for you individually. Let's get started!
