Wondering if you might have Autism/ADHD? I've literally been there! As a late-diagnosed autistic therapist, my calling is to help others explore their potential neurodiversity (autism and/or ADHD) and find freedom from the self-criticism, frustration, irritability and hopelessness that result from struggling to do life like others while suppressing your true self, without the support and understanding you need. Perhaps you've wondered: "Why do I feel like such an outsider? Socializing is confusing; what do people want from me? I'm smart, so why are so many "easy" things hard for me? Why is everything so vague and/or unpredictable?"
I lived with these questions and self-doubts for 43 years, until my ASD diagnosis by my own therapist (5 years after the DSM 5 redefined the scope of autism). My lived experience of losses due to a lack of support and understanding (even from other mental health professionals) has informed my expertise and ability to relate to and assist my clients.
I can offer you a safe place to: say what you really think and feel and be validated; explore your strengths and abilities, not over-focus on deficiencies; identify your true needs/wants; communicate and set boundaries; positively reframe your story as a survivor; and find your place as a member of a unique group who have historically benefitted humankind!
