Hello! My name is Rachael Trimbur and I am here with you on your treatment journey however that may look. I take a very trauma-informed and strengths-based approach. I am trained in IFS Informed EMDR and find this treatment method highly effective. I am dually licensed and have more than 20 years of experience working in mental health field. I began my career working with substance use disorders and am passionate about helping people achieve their recovery goals. I am also a qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) and complete substance abuse evaluations by request.
My experience includes working for community mental health centers, crisis work, case management, substance use disorder treatment, employee assisted treatment (EAP), and program development for a substance use and medication-assisted treatment facility. I am always looking to expand my knowledge and stay up to date on evidenced-based treatment approaches.
I understand that one size does not fit all and pull from various modalities to help those I work with meet their goals. The most important thing I have learned over the years is to learn from those I work with. I take a very person-centered approach.
