About
I’m Rachael, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. You’ve likely known for awhile that you’re needing some additional support. Sometimes it can take awhile to feel ready to take this first step. I want you to know that I’m here to match your pace and honor your unique needs and goals throughout treatment. You can reach out today without fully knowing what you need or how to begin. We can figure it out together as we go. I specialize in addiction recovery and substance use disorders. I also love working with college students that are navigating various life transitions and relationships.
My therapeutic style is rooted in kindness and compassion and my sense of humor and sincere interest in the wellbeing of others drives my client relationships. I am LGBTQ+ affirming, committed to racial justice, and feel comfortable working with clients with a wide range of identities.
I work from a variety of evidence-based approaches including mindfulness, choice theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I look forward to supporting you on your own unique journey toward healing and change.
