If your partner is struggling with addiction, you might feel alone because of secrecy and shame. Being unfaithful does not always mean someone is a sex addict, and not every sex addict is unfaithful, but both issues can put a lot of stress on relationships and intimacy. I work with adults who want support and personal growth as they deal with infidelity, sex addiction, or trauma and discern their next steps. My background in criminal justice and healthcare has shown me that people are much more than their mistakes or what others think of them so, when you work with me, you will be met with compassion, acceptance, and understanding.
My approach includes CBT, problem-solving therapy, and select DBT techniques, along with lifestyle changes inspired by Roger Walsh's research, such as spending time outdoors, exploring spirituality, and engaging in hobbies. Between sessions, you’ll keep a journal to help us track and celebrate each step forward, focusing on progress rather than perfection.
