I help people overcome emotional barriers to restore healthy self-image and deeper intimacy in relationships. My style is compassionate, playful and heartfelt. I specialize in working with attachment issues, codependent relationships, adults from neglectful/abusive families, survivors of sexual abuse, social anxiety, issues related to identity and problems with intimacy. I'm also a certified PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator who conducts assessment-based premarital and relationship therapy.
I help my clients to gently and respectfully explore their inner world, unburden negative beliefs about themselves and access internal resources using a number of approaches: Internal Family Systems (IFS trained since 2013), EMDR, the Enneagram, CBT and DBT. For couples work, The Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy approaches.
Sometimes welcoming spirituality into the therapeutic process can be a helpful tool. As a seminary graduate, I have experience with spiritual and psychological integration. I warmly welcome people of all beliefs.
