I am a proud Christian, husband, and father who values faith and family. I work with children, adolescents, adults, military members, veterans, first responders, educators, athletes, and others navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, faith concerns, or performance anxiety. Many are used to handling problems themselves but find that what normally works is no longer enough. I help clients identify patterns that keep them stuck, process difficult experiences, improve coping and communication, and find practical ways forward through a client-centered approach grounded in a Christian framework.
I draw on evidence-based cognitive, behavioral, humanistic, and faith-based approaches. Much of my cognitive work incorporates Christian stewardship: examining where thoughts originate, how we understand and respond to them, and the responsibility we have for what we do with them. I provide EMDR, clinical and non-medical counseling, and EAP services.
My military, law enforcement, and firefighting background helps me understand the demands faced by public servants and their families. I welcome clients from all faith backgrounds, including non-Christians who understand and consent to counseling from a Christian framework.
