I work with young adults to make sense of independence and attachment, lacking trust or confidence, peers/sibling/dating relationships, trauma, school/career transitions, sexual identity and intimacy, relationship commitment, and well-being. Using CBT, DBT, ACT, attachment, solution focused, compassion focused and multicultural approaches, balance compassion with challenging my clients as they navigate life experiences that affect self esteem, relationships with others, daily functioning, mood shifts, sadness, worry, concentration challenges and more. Will identify strategies to navigate the things outside and within your control.
My clients gain increased emotion regulation, stress response, interpersonal and communication effectiveness, awareness, trigger identification, symptom management and more.I am inquisitive, direct and impartial and take time to get to know my clients as they get to know more about how and why they are who they are.
I'm deeply empathic with an ability to use compassion, future-oriented thinking, and directness to guide and encourage you through the hard places so you can get through, and come out the other side.
