Hi, my name is Quetzalli (ket-saw-lee) Avilez (feel free to ask me how to pronounce my name). I am a licensed clinical social worker and have been working in this field for 7 years. Some approaches you will see with me are cognitive behavioral therapy, somatic therapy, EMDR, strength-based perspective, and client-centered approach. In my approach to therapy, I focus on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard and respected. My goal is to empower you to grow and heal in a way that feels true to who you are.
Typical clients I work with all adults with a primary focus on working with BIPOC communities (Black, Indigenous, and people of color). By honoring and integrating cultural backgrounds—whether through language, traditions, family dynamics, or community values—I can provide therapy that feels more relevant, respectful, and empowering.
