Hello everyone! I opened QueerSpace Counseling because it is my passion to work with the LGBTQ+ community to foster a safe space where clients can share their stories and find practical, easy to use interventions that provide relief. I believe that each of us can take steps for measurable success in our goals. I operate from a trauma-informed approach, heavy in practical skills practice. I work only with adult individuals (I do not offer couple's counseling).
Specializing in issues that directly affect the LGBTQ community, I offer talk therapy based in CBT and DBT, along with somatic modalities like IFS and parts work, and EMDR for trauma, anxiety, phobias, and OCD. I operate from a mindfulness-based approach to teach practical skills for day-to-day maintenance.
I know the thought of sharing your personal details with a stranger can be intimidating, especially for LGBTQ people. That's why I created this practice. As a non-binary person with a history of mental health problems, I am here to serve my own community: to offer a place that celebrates your identity and sexuality while providing healing.
