“Be gentle with yourself”! That is my motto, as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland. Life circumstances can happen that are completely out of our control, and helping clients develop the tools to handle adversities in life is my passion. Society has placed a stigma on therapy, and my work is focused on helping individuals realize that taking care of their mental health is just as important as taking care of their physical health. The shame in therapy must the removed!
My area of focus is parental support, grief & loss, anxiety, life adjustments, and behavioral issues. In my work with my clients, I believe the client is the expert on their life, my role is very similar to a “GPS”, as a therapist, I provide clients with tools (directions) to get to their choice destination (life goals).
My therapeutic style is client centered & behavioral focused with the frequent use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused interventions with clients. I believe individuals become the best people they can be when they are provided with the proper guidance and tools. Let's begin to do the work together.
