About
The Psychology Services Center (PSC) provides comprehensive quality mental health care including assessment and therapy services for adults, children, adolescents, families, and couples. We have a history of helping clients learn to cope with stress, depression, or anxiety, address their children's behavioral or learning difficulties, or improve communication and trust in their relationships. Across all of these treatment areas, our center values providing quality, outcome-oriented services that are based on the latest science, offered within a caring and collaborative atmosphere.
We are a not-for-profit outpatient service and training facility of the Psychology Department at the University of South Carolina. Therapists are doctoral students in clinical-community or school psychology. All therapists are supervised by licensed psychologists and participate in weekly practicum to receive feedback and support in providing treatment.
Our center offers services that are affordable and convenient. Service fees are on a sliding scale based on income. We are also centrally located near the Bull Street District, on a bus line, and with plenty of free parking. We are open Monday to Thursday evenings to accommodate busy work and school schedules.
