Mirroring of the other, of what lives inside of the self, is helpful and constructive in recognizing how we judge others through projection, defenses and distortions which are our own. Over time, when we can awaken and become aware of this mechanism, we can be less judgmental and more compassionate and empathetic towards others rendering a more whole and peaceful life. This is so helpful for relationships of all kind.
