My name is Kim Saich and I have a bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Services Management from University of Phoenix and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counselor from Walden University. I have been a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) since 2021 and a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) since 2022.

My experience is dedicated to assisting clients facing the profound challenges of recurring depressive thoughts, frequent anxiety, panic attacks, past trauma, emotional instability, overwhelming stress, and communication difficulties. I work tirelessly with individuals of all ages, from children to adults, as well as families, to support them on their unique journeys towards healing and well-being.

I work with both adolescents and adults and help them to gain a greater sense of awareness of their own feelings and the impact they have on others, thereby increasing their options as well as their sense of mastery and autonomy. I am a licensed psychologist, with 30 + years in the field of clinical psychology. I also work with diverse population, using multi-cultural perspective in addressing Individual and family situations. I love to know people's strengths even when they feel hopeless. I believe that Therapy is a team effort from beginning to end and I am there to support and be with.

As a licensed psychologist, I am trained to use evidenced-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, to address a variety of difficulties in children and adults like depression, anxiety, behavior challenges, grief and other problematic concerns. I also have experience working with students who have been diagnosed with Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, Tic Disorders, Tourette Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and more.

After 28 years working with children, teens and adults who exhibit anxiety, depression, ADHD and anger issues, I am clear that true therapeutic change can be accelerated through a combination of traditional talk therapy, cognitive behavioral techniques and brain-based interventions. My utilization of EFT acupressure , Brainspotting and the Havening Techniques have reduced therapy time for the treatment of ADHD, anxiety and have given people TOOLS that they can utilize outside of the therapy office.

The goal of treatment is to end treatment. If your problems were easy to solve, you would have already solved them. Simultaneously, I believe everything you need to be successful, you walked in with. My job is to light the path, you walk it. The goal is to remove the obstacles that impede you enjoying your life to the fullest. I am active in therapy and collaborative; empowering you to get you where you're trying to go. I don't accept insurance because I think we should decide when the work is done; not the insurance company.

In an empathic, supportive manner, I support clients controlling their emotions rather than be controlled by them. I treat anxiety disorders agoraphobia, OCD and mood disorders.

I am a licensed psychologist in New Jersey and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the Doctoral level at Behavior Therapy Associates. I am also the Program Director of the HI-STEP® Summer Social Skills Program: Pennington Location, an intensive 5-week day program for children to improve social emotional learning. I have expertise providing individual, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents and adults.

I'm a unique therapist that treats a wide array of mental health disorders. We focus on resolving past and current issues/trauma, finding solutions and eliciting organic change. If we are not solving your problems, I am wasting your time. My practice goes far beyond talk therapy, we do work. We explore childhood, adolescent and other lifetime experiences that impact our psychological functioning. To permanently resolve our disorders we must revisit and resolve these thoughts, feelings and events. I utilize DBT as part of my treatment approach and we engage from the first minute we meet.

I have a passion for working with kids and families. I am fascinated with the ways kids communicate and love finding the best ways to connect. I enjoy partnering with kids and families to figure out the best ways to overcome behavioral and emotional difficulties so everyone can grow and flourish. When I work with adults, I partner with them to understand, process, and overcome difficulties and traumas they have experienced so they can productively move forward. My work is influenced by cognitive behavioral and family systems theories, and I utilize EMDR when appropriate.

Extracare Health Services is an outpatient drug and alcohol counseling center offering individualized outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment for adolescents, adults and their families. Via a Cognitive/Behavioral approach to treatment, there is a strong emphasis on building self-esteem in our clients and empowering them to take effective control of their lives. Since addiction is an illness that impacts all aspects of a person's life, we provide a holistic and comprehensive treatment program that includes, individual and group counseling, family education and urine-testing. Additionally, we provide counseling for anxiety, depression, codependency, PTSD and domestic violence/anger management.
