I have extensive experience working with various types of trauma. I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) as well as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). I work with children, adolescents, and adults. I also see individuals with body image issues, depression, stress, grief and loss, divorce adjustment, relationship, parenting issues, women's issues, and behavior management. I start with a person centered approach which includes genuiness, empathy and unconditional positive regard. Once we develop a strong therapeutic relationship other techniques will be added as necessary.

Treatment interventions I have used over the years include cognitive behavioral techniques, traditional counseling, biofeedback, hypnosis, and family therapy among others. I started working as a therapist while living abroad in Italy. I helped families with children with developmental disabilities, and coordinated services within the school systems. I also helped English speaking adults with substance abuse issues. Since moving back to the U.S, I have worked with children with austism spectrum disorder, as well as teens with anxiety and depression. Most recently I have been working with adults with opiate/opioid addiction. I also work with families, couples, and children. As a therapist, my goal is to help people achieve their goals to live happier, healthier, lives.
