I comprehend mental health issues from not only a psychological, but also from a social and neurological perspective. With this being stated I have developed a unique and comprehensive understanding of my clients. I have worked with several challenging clients and pride myself in my ability to modify treatment interventions for each client's unique needs. Essentially treatment is a team approach and I am here to walk with the client on the path to recovery.

Dr. Selmi is a licensed psychology located in Sterling, Illinois, 61081. Behavioral health interventions, FOID evaluations, family court expertise. Mental health intervention used are evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Behavior Therapy (BT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Dr. Selmi is fully trained in these focused evidence and scientifically-based methods. Most of my work is assessment and therapy. I love working with children and their families where the family dynamics may be creating some stress within the family system. I enjoy the process of getting children and families engaged in therapy and working together to identify the values of the children and their families. Clients who are looking to strengthen their family bonds and develop their family unit are some of my favorite things to work on. Much of my interest and experience has been around bullying and trauma, and I greatly enjoy being a part of the growth my clients make while addressing these issues.

I have over twenty years of experience in the mental health field helping children, adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety, ADHD, anger, grief, trauma and relationship issues in individual and family therapy at hospitals, schools, community centers and in private practice.

She continues to work on interdisciplinary teams within community mental health, private practice, churches, schools, and within the corporate sectors. Dr Battle is a mental health subject matter expert for several national and international organizations. She regularly participates in discussion panels on a range of topics regarding mental health/wellness and suicide prevention as it relates to youth.
