Through psychological evaluations, I work collaboratively and empathically with my clients to best understand and provide recommendations to address the challenges obstructing progress in your life.

My goal when meeting you is to help create a collaborative working relationship where you can understand yourself and what, if anything, you would like to change. I specialize in a variety of areas including depression, anxiety, sexual/pornography addiction, marital difficulties, life transitions, anger issues and more.

The therapist-client relationship is a collaborative one, where you are an expert on yourself and we work together towards your goals. I believe that you should be satisfied with the services you are receiving and thus I frequently assess the clients' progress and satisfaction with my services during the duration of therapy. I strive to tailor therapy to best fit your needs. My approach to working with clients is practical and straightforward, yet warm, genuine, and supportive. At any point in life, it can feel overwhelming to manage all of the expectations that are placed upon us.  As a clinical psychologist, I see my role as helping you understand and resolve the conflicts that are obstacles to your well being. Therapy is a process that allows you to identify problematic patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving that may be impairing your interpersonal and professional success.  Through our work you will gain an understanding of how and why these patterns formed, and what it takes to change them.  With an attuned and non-judgmental listener you can enhance your self awareness and make better choices. 

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of concerns including feeling angry, anxious, depressed, or inhibited. My work also includes helping those who may have less specific symptoms, but notice that they may get in their own way of achieving what they want, interpersonally, professionally, or scholastically. I also have considerable experience working with individuals with a traumatic history, including sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. Within my practice, I also offer child, adolescent, and adult psychological testing, including emotional, cognitive, and academic assessment.

In life, there are times when we need to face challenging situations and make changes, but we may need help to think things through. I work from the perspective that all of us can bring certain strengths to bear and that we can benefit from self-understanding in order to use our strengths to the best of our abilities. Through a collaborative framework, I help people cope with the pressures of everyday life, transitions that are challenging and/or stressful as well as longstanding concerns such as learning difficulties, anxieties, mood problems, interpersonal concerns, and life transitions.

I also provide required psychological assessments for those seeking bariatric surgery procedures and police recruitment/fitness for duty evaluations.

We at The SOAR Program for Psychotherapy & Testing at WBMA, LLC know this is a stressful time for everyone. To help ease the worry and to offer support, we are offering daily, free ‘on-line’ support groups to the community. Our hope is to provide connection, and to reduce the isolation that can be felt with social distancing. Telehealth groups will meet each week until life returns to a more familiar rhythm. Participants are not receiving therapy, and can be located anywhere.

Deciding to reach out for help can be a challenge. As a clinical psychologist, a graduate of the George Washington University, I provide therapy and assessment services to adults, children and adolescents. I am also part of the clinical faculty in the Professional Psychology program (Psy.D) at George Washington University.

I am a clinical neuropsychologist who has a passion for helping individuals explore ways to overcome cognitive and behavioral challenges that may exist. I have over 15 years of experience in the field of neuropsychology. I understand that finding a good therapist can be challenging and intimidating, however my goal as a clinical neuropsychologist is to provide a supportive environment that will meet the individual needs of each client! I specialize in the testing, assessment and therapeutic intervention of cognitive and behavioral disorders.
