Throughout my extensive 25-year career in behavioral health, substance abuse, case management, and medical social work, I have acquired invaluable experience.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Texas at Arlington. As a neurodivergent individual and a parent to my neurodivergent children, I have a unique understanding and lived experience regarding neurodivergence (particularly related to autism and ADHD). I am passionate about working with other neurodivergent individuals of all ages and identities from a neurodiversity-affirming approach.

At New Leaf Services, LLC we offer a wide variety of therapy and specialties. We offer individual, family, and couples counseling. Specialty treatment is available in Trauma, Abuse, PTSD, Substance Abuse, Grief Counseling, Depression, Anxiety, Stress Management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Health Issues, and Animal Assisted Therapy. Geeks, by traditional definition, are passionate about anthologies and characters from a variety of fictional, fantasy, and virtual formats that are sometimes niche or unpopular, creating feelings of relatedness towards avatar experiences in an often lonely life. . However, with the rise of popular media over the past several years, (e.g. Big Bang Theory, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Marvel’s Avengers, Anime, etc.) self-identification as a “geek” or “nerd” has become more mainstream. We specialize in administering the tests and writing the reports required to authorize accommodations for college, standardize exams and for the workplace.
