I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor working with children, adolescents and adults going through a variety of situations and life transitions. I earned my bachelors in Psychology in Mexico City and a Masters degree in psychoanalysis. I then moved to Miami, FL to pursue another masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked with people from all walks of life going through anxiety, depression, domestic violence, incarceration, mental illness, and life transitions such as divorce, death of a loved one, entering adolescence, among others. My focus is mainly psychodynamic.

We all have an innate goodness, natural spontaneity and potential. We tend to disconnect from it in response to painful experiences. It is a natural, even genetic program, to want happiness and joy in life. The frantic attempt to numb or avoid pain,results in denial of joy and natural spontaneity. My commitment as a therapist is facilitation of healing and transformation towards joy and connection. I use a Holistic approach, seek authenticity, and believe that each person's uniqueness can bring inner peace, extend to family, and enhance relationships. The happiness we generate extends to others and then returns.

I have provided therapy for children, teenagers, adults, groups and couples. In therapy, I share a relational space in where you can allow the parts of you that need healing the space they need to heal. You can gain knowledge into your emotional processing, and you can gain independence in your life. I have experience in relational cultural theory and person centered therapy. My experience and my practices reflect my academic interest to understand the self in relation to others. Other topics I am interested in: Intersectionality, feminist theories in counseling, and gender affirmative care.

Most of us, at one time or another, experience personal problems. Sometimes they affect one's overall performance, sometimes they don't. I am available for those times when situations in life cause personal problems and you need help to get you through them. You don't have to do it alone. I strive to provide a comfortable and trusting environment where you can relax and feel safe. I aim to make therapy a place where you like to go. I know that we are all very unique. I approach each client in a way that is specific to their needs. I am also accepting licensed interns needing supervision.

I graduated Dec. 2023 with my M.A. in Mental Health Counseling. I’ve been practicing for over a year now! I enjoy counseling children, adolescents, teens, and adults. I am well adept at tackling anxiety, depression, anger issues, and general stress/life transitions. My specialty is exploring trauma and how it’s stored in the body. I am a holistic counselor, utilizing Adlerian individual therapy, where I join into my clients world meeting them where they are at, and transpersonal therapy which focuses on healing trauma, improving self confidence, meaning and purpose, and creating a positive relationship between body and mind.

I am a psychologist in a group of mental health clinicians. I have a PhD in psychology and have been licensed since 2003. My colleagues and I provide neuropsychological and psychological assessment and psychotherapy. Neuropsychological assessments help people with memory, attention, and learning problems. Psychological assessments are available for pre-surgical evaluations for medical treatments including spinal cord stimulators pain management, bariatric weight loss, and seizure control. As a sleep therapist, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) and specialize in identifying and addressing the root causes of your insomnia. CBT-I is the most effective treatment for insomnia and often only takes 8-10 sessions.

The Clinic specializes in play, art, and sand play therapy, to address the psychosocial, emotional and behavioral difficulties that young children, adolescents, and families experience at various stages of life.
