Specialty treatment is available in Trauma, Abuse, PTSD, Substance Abuse, Grief Counseling, Depression, Anxiety, Stress Management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Health Issues, and Animal Assisted Therapy. For counselors, we offer CEU training, administrative services, billing, credentialing, and general bookkeeping.

Human suffering stems from unacknowledged trauma which develops multiple ways including spans of prolonged stress, surgery, crime, grief, injury, childhood neglect or abuse, domestic violence or bullying. Trauma symptoms- depression, anxiety, and PTSD, are difficult to overcome. With traditional therapy you may find symptoms keep resurfacing, thus impairing your functioning and leading you to feel frustrated and discouraged. But, there is another way to do therapy, the EMDR way. EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, a therapy that goes directly to the trauma by targeting the way it is stored in your brain.

I work with adolescents and adults suffering from mood and anxiety disorders, complex trauma, women’s issues, narcissistic abuse, attachment issues, and personality disorders. I also work with couples to improve communication, develop healthy conflict-resolution skills, and create a long-term family vision and mission that restores harmony in everyday life. I believe psychoeducation and a personalized mental health care plan empower clients to make lasting changes quickly. I create a unique treatment plan for each client with specific, measurable goals.

The decision to begin counseling can be difficult and finding the right therapist can be overwhelming. I am a generalist who enjoys working with a wide range of people. I strive to meet every client where they are emotionally and to always base our work on respect and collaboration. My goal is to help each client regain a sense of strength, control and satisfaction in his or her life.

At times we all struggle with life changes such as job change or loss, the ending of a relationship, the loss of a loved one, parent-child conflict, or family-marital conflict. These changes can cause feelings of sadness, depression or anxiety. I look forward to working with clients who are seeking help with navigating life's ups and downs.
