I firmly believe that every emotion and symptom serves as a key, unlocking doors through which we journey into the unconscious and shine a light into the darkest parts of ourselves.

I utilize humor, genuine curiosity, and my quirky personality (thanks, ADHD!) to connect with others and develop an authentic space for vulnerability. As the owner of Associates in Counseling & Wellness, LLC, I have had extensive experience treating adults and children, couples and families struggling with various mental health and developmental conditions. I have specific training in both cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy, however, I believe completely in meeting the needs of each specific client and therefore utilize eclectic techniques to enhance the strengths of each individual. I believe in the inherent stength that each individual embodies and therefore use therapy as a place to enhance the inner experience of each client from a wholistic perspective.

My name is Carolyn Vorhes-Reed. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been working in the field of mental health for over 20 years. I have worked primarily with children and adolescents in community mental health, both in an office setting and in local school districts, but I also work with adults. Over the course of my career, I have assisted those with a wide variety of struggles, including behavioral and school related issues, autism, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I pride myself in learning who my patients truly are so that I can establish an authentic and meaningful therapeutic alliance with each of them.

Megan is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Waynesburg University in 2018 and has been in the field with a variety of populations, especially children, adolescents, and adults for almost a decade overall. She has spent time working in community agencies, inpatient, and outpatient settings over the past several years. Megan has specialized over time in helping individuals with anxiety, depression, PTSD, self-esteem issues, and self-destructive behaviors, to name a few.
