It is an honor and a privilege to witness the healing process as it unfolds within individuals who enter psychotherapy. I truly believe that each of us have the power to reach our full potential. When we care for ourselves, we are able to have much deeper and more meaningful relationships with others. I work with people who have chronic mental illness and those who have experienced trauma or need support in stressful situations. I also help people who want to get to know themselves better or have a deeper understanding of self. I often refer to the unconscious and attachment relationships to help people gain insight.
I am a Jungian therapist. Dreams, art, and imagination play a role in our emotional growth, as we explore the unconscious, including attachment dynamics, leading to a richer understanding of ourselves. I am also well-versed in other types of therapies and can introduce skills and strategies from those methods when they are useful.
As I get to know a client, I join them in looking for ways that they can live a fuller and more meaningful life. This is different than simply reducing symptoms of a mental disorder. Through therapy, clients can access their inner wisdom to find deep meaning in life, and locate their inner strength during difficult times.
