My professional experience has emphasized lifespan development, and has allowed me the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, and adults of diverse backgrounds. Many of my clients come in for help with treating specific problems such as ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression. Others come in seeking consultation for a variety of life issues including difficulty with organization, impulse control, and emotional expression. My approach to therapy borrows heavily from the philosophy of Walt Whitman (and Ted Lasso): "Be curious, not judgmental." I believe that every bad decision is ultimately driven by an unfulfilled need. Through curiosity, we can identify that need and find healthier ways to achieve our goals.
Prior to joining the Tarnow Center, I was at the Colorado State University where I worked with Division One athletes to develop individual and team performance enhancement plans. I now use these same principles of Self-Management to help clients identify and overcome their barriers to academic, emotional, and professional success.
