Over the past thirty years, I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults with diverse mental health issues including, depression, anxiety, Post-concussive syndrome, ADHD, learning disabilities, ASD, addiction, grief, and trauma. Recognizing that individuals experience stress in many aspects of their life and struggle with life's transitions, I work with children and adolescents transitioning through the stages of development and with adults facing marital, parenting, custody and relationship issues. I conduct psychological and neuropsychological testing to evaluate for mental health, academic, and neurological issues.

For more than 30 years I've helped hundreds of couples and individuals build stronger and healthier relationships. As a licensed couples therapist and certified sex therapist I use a variety of proven techniques to help people solve conflicts, improve communication and ignite a spark in their sex lives. Together, we'll work to decrease anger, blame and defensiveness, replacing them with assertiveness, compassion and mindfulness. I work with diverse couples.

Having had a diversity of experiences allows me a unique ability to approach helping others. I provide neuropsychological assessment as well as a variety of treatment services, using an mix of various orientations and modalities. I understand how cognitive and emotional difficulties can impact not just school/work functioning but also personal relationships and family life. I appreciate that parents and families can play an important role in treatment and include them when appropriate. I work with a variety of emotional and neurological issues with the ultimate goal of helping my clients get the most they can from their lives.

I deal with depression, anxiety, stress, panic, low self-esteem, or relationship problems. Have been practicing for thirty years. I know how to help people change their patterns, emotions, and distressing thoughts. I believe in human resilience, capacity and desire to move on to a better life. I try various modalities to assist you. Have recently hired an associate, Nina Nagy, a Somatic and Trauma Healing Therapist (SEP). I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and one of the owners of a group practice called Inspire Wellness. Inspire Wellness is made up of 25 clinicians with various specialties. We have offices throughout Bergen County offering therapy, Sport Psychology, Neuropsychological Testing, and Forensic Psychology. Working in a group decreases the likelihood that we run a waiting list and allows clients to find a clinician with the specialty and approach that fits their specific need. I work in an eclectic manner with clients who struggle with depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, loss, PTSD, at-risk behaviors, relationship issues and life transitions. I offer a supportive and interactive experience for clients, providing the most appropriate modality and pace for each client. For over 30 years, I have enabled teenagers, adults and older adults to master the skills needed to manage emotions and navigate life's challenges. I do assessments to verify people needing "Therapy Pets" for travel and Clinical Assessments for Bariatric Surgery. I offer Equine Assisted Psychotherapy as an alternate experiential approach or as an adjunct modality to traditional talk therapy.

I am dedicated to helping individuals develop the skills to resolve interpersonal and psychological issues. I have specialty training in family therapy, grief/bereavement counseling and in health psychology, including pain and symptom management, anxiety reduction and adjustment to illness. I am particularly sensitive to women's issues including pre- and postpartum concerns and challenges, eating disorders and body image issues. I work with adolescents in the area of behavior management, dealing with blended family issues, school avoidance and self harm.
