Goals of building hope, optimism, and inspiring others to make the most of theirs and their families lives. Utilized various therapeutic techniques, and starting where the client is, to assist individuals with minimizing or resolving issues, associated with depression, grief and loss, anxiety, stress, adjustment, mood regulation, ADHD, ODD, relational problems, behavioral issues, and various other problem areas and issues that confront individuals of all ages on a daily basis. I work with individuals with ADHD, OCD, Trauma, anxiety and sexual concerns such as men's issues, porn addiction and polyamory. My treatment modalities focus on the individual and it's not a cookie cutter approach. I incorporate modalities like CBT, Mindfulness, Stages of Change, Trauma Informed Therapy and Solution Focus therapy, and use podcasts, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok videos, books and more as supplements as well. My patients are eager to improve their lives, but often stuck as to where to start or where to begin.

Hello, I am a therapist in Des Moines working with with children, teenage girls, and women in my practice. I see many children for issues related to ADHD, anxiety, and behavioral issues. I enjoy working with teenage girls and helping to address ways to improve their self-esteem. I also enjoy helping women who struggle with social anxiety and provide help for depression that can be related to relationships, work, or parenting issues. I believe therapy is about finding a balance in your life and that it starts with recognizing who you are and being in relationships that support that.

Grace took Dr. Gilbaugh on a journey of self-discovery--which led her to be inspired to help others in their times of need. Our therapists work with people of all ages, and many types of problems. My counseling experience includes providing interventions to positively address stress, life adjustments, marital issues, and psychological issues like addictions, depression, and anxiety. As a traumatic illness counselor, I help people overcome the obstacles associated with their illness. In addition to HIV/AIDS, Huntington's Disease, and Hepatitis, I have extensive experience working with people, couples, and families impacted by illness. A license from the State of Iowa authorizes me to practice as an independent clinical social worker.
