I am licensed in Texas with 5 years of professional counseling experience. I like to get to know my clients and understand the barriers they are experiencing and the outcomes they wish to manifest in their lives. I listen carefully about their experiences and look to help find positive solutions to their different life challenges. I am open to exploring any topics without passing judgement and implementing the most person-centered techniques that will lead to positive outcomes.

My main focus is trauma and PTSD. My secondary focus is on Narcissistic Abuse Syndrome and Parental Alienation. I also do a lot of work with anxiety (social and generalized), addictions, depression, abuse (of all kinds). These are often tied to my two main focuses. I have a lot of experience working with military personnel and veterans.

Dr. Nicole Rae Grandjean is a neuropsychologist who specializes in the differential diagnosis of psychiatric and neurocognitive disorders. She obtained her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from The University of North Texas in 2004. Dr. Grandjean evaluates people with neurocognitive disorders stemming from traumatic brain injury, toxic exposure, stroke, Parkinson's, and dementia. As a clinical psychologist, she specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Her psychotherapy practice focuses on treating PTSD from rape, combat, catastrophic events, assault and childhood sexual/physical abuse.

My behavioral health work began in 1988, with adolescents and their families, branching into extremely effective work with addictions and couples counseling. I am trained in EMDR & Brainspotting (BSP), a very fast paced healing process for all types of trauma, PTSD, abuse issues, anxiety, overwhelming emotions, grief issues and cravings. I work most quickly with athletes suffering from mental blocks, injuries and other issues inhibiting performance even though the injury is completely healed. Many of my athletic clients have completed in just a two hour session.

I love working with clients who are seeking to identify and change patterns in thought, communication, and relationships. My clients are individuals and couples who are experiencing struggles and roadblocks in how they view and interact with themselves and others. I enjoy helping people grow in awareness of what is causing their issues and learn how to effect change in their lives and relationships. I offer clients a safe place to experience and process their emotions, identify unhelpful patterns and learn healthy coping skills.

My client population includes children, adolescents and adults. I work with individuals as well as families. I facilitate numerous groups and skills training curriculum in various topics including adolescent first offenders, anger management, divorce and separation, parenting, and teen issues.

I specialize in working with adolescents, adults and couples who struggle with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, mood disorders and relationship issues. I will help you learn to cope with present stressors or process past experiences. It is important that we establish goals, and I will actively work to help you meet them. I develop personal and genuine relationships with my clients, which is helpful in developing a plan that is tailored to your individual needs.

My greatest strength is empathy, the ability to put myself in the shoes of my client to understand what they are feeling. Every brain is as unique as DNA, which means problems can present differently in people and can be triggered by different issues. I work with all ages, from children with ADHD to senior citizens with cognitive decline. Sometimes the client needs to build a toolbox, and other times, we can teach the brain new ways of processing information.
