Are you a military caregiver or spouse needing some support? I am a spouse to a Marine Wounded Warrior and have been a caregiver full-time to help with Combat PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury. My goal is to help you to overcome the stress and lifestyle associated with the military while empowering you to become successful in your relationships. I work from a systemic approach with a nonjudgmental viewpoint. My experience allows me to understand the dynamics of a military relationship and gives the ability to relate. I work with adults and adolescents who feel stuck in patterns of anxiety and depression, or who are adapting to life challenges. You may feel that you're missing the immediacy and vitality of your life because your energy is sinking into habits of overthinking, arguing with yourself, and struggling with your emotions. You think there might be an easier way, but you're not sure how to begin un-learning years of self-blame and criticism. My focus is to provide quality, results oriented counseling services to individuals, families and couples.

I am a psychologist in a group of mental health clinicians. I have a PhD in psychology and have been licensed since 2003. My colleagues and I provide neuropsychological and psychological assessment and psychotherapy. Neuropsychological assessments help people with memory, attention, and learning problems. Psychological assessments are available for pre-surgical evaluations for medical treatments including spinal cord stimulators pain management, bariatric weight loss, and seizure control. I'm about love, self-compassion, radical acceptance, embracing failure, trusting your innate wisdom and starting over. I fundamentally believe in every person's ability to recover from trauma, addiction and life, in general. Experience has taught me that no one is really avoiding anything. When people accuse you of not dealing with something, what they are really saying is you aren't dealing with it the way they want you to. I entered the field of counseling because of a desire to help those in crisis or who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. I realized I wanted to be a counselor while working at a local community college. I saw students who were struggling academically but were very bright.
