Hi! I am a bilingual therapist with over 20 years of experience. In 2000, I finished my Counseling education at Arizona State University. For the first few years, I worked in an in-patient mental health facility. Over time, I was more drawn to outpatient work and began starting my own Private Practice in 2006 called Life Transitions Counseling. Recently, I have spent time traveling the world working as a Military Family Life Counselor, aiding in the mental health care of our service members and their family members.

I offer teletherapy to clients in California, Nevada, Oregon and Colorado. I offer in-office visits in Sacramento. Sometimes we expect far too much from ourselves. Each client is invited into a space where there is no expectation and where they are free to be themselves, without fear of judgement or misunderstanding. Adults can sometimes struggle to find space to hold compassion for themselves. Couples (and all variants of relationship structure) can also use a nonjudgmental time and space to feel heard, while building tools for communication.

I was trained as a generalist and treat a wide variety of presenting concerns, including depression, anxiety, and life transitions. I have specialized in the treatment of trauma-related disorders, sexual functioning, and psychedelic-assisted therapy. In treating trauma, I am trained in several research-based treatments, such as EMDR, CPT, and more. I also provide sex therapy services to address common issues, such as desire discrepancy and sexual shame and can integrate these specialties to address sexuality post-trauma. At this time I can also offer integration services following ketamine treatments or personal use of psychedelics.
