I received my PhD & MA in clinical psychology from UT Austin, specializing in anxiety disorder research and treatment. I seek to provide a safe, warm, and affirming environment where your individual experience is validated. However, I do not believe that warmth alone is enough for competent treatment. When finding a doctor to treat a broken arm you certainly want a provider who is kind, but unfortunately even the most empathetic doctor will be ineffective if they do not know how to cast an arm!

I specialize in working with teens who are struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, school related issues and substance abuse. Your teen can expect to acquire tools needed to gain a sense of control, manage difficult emotions, and feel more confident in their relationships, friendships, and decision-making process.

I have about 7 years of counseling & clinical experience.My clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents & individuals all ages including geriatrics. An Air Force veteran and trauma clinician, I’m keenly attuned to the unique needs of military members, first responders, helping professionals, crime survivors, and how exposure to trauma can affect their well-being.

The primary focus of my work has been treating adults and adolescents with anxiety and mood disorders, PTSD, OCD, substance use disorders, and medical conditions. I provide evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Gottman Method couples therapy, among others.
