Welcome, you are not reading my bio by coincidence. I am not only an Air Force veteran, but I have 15 years of clinical expertise. I have extensive experience working with people of all backgrounds. Much like the sunflower that is directed by the sun, my goal is to help you navigate through life’s obstacles, restore the broken pieces, and ultimately direct you towards your light within. It is my belief that everyone has the capacity to change and grow. I want you to live your best life!

Life provides experiences that can be challenging and difficult to overcome. Sometimes these difficulties present in feelings of sadness, grief, worry, or relationship problems. Despite the problem there is hope to be able understand how these experiences can shape us to be stronger and better ready to handle life, so that we can live it to our fullest potential.

My name is Antoinette Woods and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. I came up with the name Silver Lining, because I believe that there is hope for every need, which is my motto. I have worked in the field of social services for 23 years and have been professionally licensed for 7 years. I have always had a strong desire to help others and feel as though I can offer an array of expertise in all aspects of identified needs. I am very compassionate and view my clients as individuals and their best interest is my top priority. I am experienced in working with multifaceted backgrounds as well as treatment approaches.

Board Certified, with 20 years of experience in the mental health and social services field, I take pride in providing a safe and non-judgmental space for people to share their burdens and explore new ways of coping with life's challenges. Taking the first step to seek counseling takes courage. For some, it can be frightening, intimidating and uncomfortable; for others, embarrassing. My goal is to help make it one of the best decisions of your life! Allow me to guide and assist in your journey.

I enjoy being able to assist those who are in need of finding a way out of the darkness. Also, my practice focuses on the study of substance abuse/addiction counseling. I have experience working with children and geriatric populations. I think that telehealth and online therapy are very powerful tools that we have to bring our support to more people regardless of whether they are near or far.
