Hi there! My name is Ashlee and I have approximately 10 years working with children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling with a wide array of mental health-related issues. Some of these issues include depression, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, interpersonal conflict, trauma/abuse, self-esteem, motivation, confidence, and much more! I believe everyone can benefit from therapy even if nothing is “wrong.” Sometimes we just need a listening ear from a neutral person and I look forward to being that person for you. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and promote a safe space for individuals of all backgrounds to express themselves freely.

We look at the individual as an individual. It is with that apporach that we work to truly incorporate body and mind through behavioral and bio-chemical interventions. We bring traditional counseling techniques with a blend of supplements and amino acids to increase the individual's chances of a long-term change.

The process of asking for help can be truly frightening. Sometimes it’s difficult asking a simple request, like a ride to work, or asking someone to listen to you when you’re stressed. Therapy can be a step in improving that relationship with yourself, and to help you know your feelings and experiences are valid. A lot of life is adapting to our environments, often to keep ourselves safe, but sometimes those learned behaviors have long-term effects on our ability to understand our needs and others.

I have always been interested in the wellness of others and have been blessed to watch many people find recovery. Julie received her Masters Degree in Social Work from West Virginia University and is licensed in the state of West Virginia as an Independent Clinical Social Worker. She has worked several years with children and adults at local mental health agencies, hospitals, and organizations focusing on community service and child advocacy. She has extensive experience working with clients struggling with child development, childhood trauma, and those needing crisis intervention.

My ideal clients are teens or adults who want learn tools for long term happiness. Issues I enjoy treating are substance use, binge eating, grief, loss, trauma, relationship issues, marriage counseling, anxiety and depression. For success, I provide judgement free space and unconditional positive regard, mixed with some humor and direction. I like to dive deep with my clients, utilizing their strengths, which will allow them to become more free and self-sufficient, with healthier relationships.
