My ideal client is an adult (age 21 or older) who deeply wants positive individual behavioral change and understanding. If you struggle to understand the "why" behind your behavior, I believe I can help you. Whether individually, as a couple, or as a family system, knowledge is empowerment for positive change. I will provide the tools and resources needed for positive behavioral change. Together, we will travel through your family of origin story, attachment, personality, and possible unmet needs in order to help you understand your "why".

My clients typically seek therapy due to exposure to adverse experiences at some point in their lifetime. As a clinician, I understand adverse experiences are subjective to each individual. This is why I tailor my therapeutic approach depending on each individuals' needs and concerns.

As a licensed Clinical Psychologist I generally work with clients using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which focuses on accepting what cannot be changed and committing to what is most important to the individual. I also frequently use a variety of other therapeutic techniques to help clients achieve their goals. I have experience working with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, relationship concerns, couples counseling, crisis of faith, and personality disorders. This client is also interested in reaching goals related to their emotional, spiritual, and/or physical health, or is an individual looking to improve their cognitive, interpersonal, communicative, or behavioral skills. I am only accepting clients with referral from physicians with chronic health problems and mood disturbance at this time. I have a speciality in clinical health psychology which means I treat BOTH emotional, mood and physical health problems. I have specialized training in the treatment of insomnia, chronic pain, anxiety and depression. I worked many years at the VA hospital so have interest in PTSD and trauma treatment.
