My specialty is doing depth work. This means helping someone go deeper into their core issues. We all get wounded throughout our childhood, from birth to 18y/o. Because I have completed my own inner work, I am now able to take people through adolescent issues, into childhood, and then early childhood (the pre-verbal years). This is where the "switches" are.
What a good therapist does, is go with you when you go into your own inner world. It's easy to say, but when you turn to go into your wounded side, you'll get scared. And, if you keep going into childhood material, you'll feel terror. A real therapist will go with you, into that emotional material, and hold that ground till you heal it.
