If you feel like it’s hard to stay afloat, you are not alone. Times are stressful and we all could use help. If you have experienced trauma, life is especially painful and difficult to navigate. You might feel unsafe in the world, unable to trust others, or sometimes don’t know how to trust and really know yourself. You may feel shame, depression, or anger, or you may have terrible memories or images in your mind you just can’t escape. You may even freeze or have anxiety that feels out of control. It can be overwhelming and hard to know how to even start healing from trauma. There is hope for change, and therapy can help with this.
I use evidence-based treatments, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I offer Prolonged Exposure, Written Exposure, and Cognitive Processing Therapy for trauma. I teach emotion regulation skills, mindfulness, and self-compassion. My style is validating and non-judgmental and I will guide and challenge when appropriate.
Finding a therapist that you connect and feel safe with is one of the first steps in healing. If you need to work through trauma, depression, body image concerns, pet loss, difficult emotions, building healthy relationships, and think I might be a good match, feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you. Serving those in OR, WA, MT.
