About
While my passion is helping people find the joy in life, I am also dedicated to improving the counseling profession. As a past President of both the American Counseling Association of Missouri and the Missouri Mental Health Counselors Association, I have worked to help professional counselors and the field of counseling in the state of Missouri. I extend this focus of helping the profession to teaching and supervising individuals who are pursuing professional counseling as a career.
Therapy is a partnership between client and professional counselor. My experience in counseling includes working with individuals, couples, and families. I have helped children as young as 6 and adults into their 90s. My specialty is helping people navigate life transitions in a positive manner.
As a woman with over 20 years experience counseling all ages, I believe I have a deeper insights garnered from experience and training. I also believe my unique combination of sincere empathy combined with a solution-focused orientation helps clients to develop and maintain a system to change and to grow.
