I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from Tulane University in New Orleans, before completing my graduate training in Community and Agency Counseling from George Mason University. I often draw from an eclectic treatment approach such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy and incorporate Mindfulness and elements of Play Therapy.

I specialize in teletherapy for neurodivergent, queer, and gender diverse people (and am proudly autistic, ADHD, queer, and trans myself). I work with clients both individually and relationally (i.e., as partners, families, etc.). It is my passion to help clients live in a way that feels congruent to them, and to support and be present with one another in the process. As people, I believe that having our authentic selves reflected back to us provides the nourishment, courage, and enthusiasm we need to move forward and feel fulfilled in life.

People in distress are often wary of talking to someone who is a stranger. The first visit is generally fraught with anxiety. I am adept at teasing out the issues and helping a person (of any age) feel comfortable and understood. I expect that many clients will come to my office with a certain amount of ambivalence about engaging in psychotherapy. Generally, by the time they leave after the first visit, they are eager to return having felt a sense of relief and hope that they are going to be understood and "heard" in a unique way.

I believe the stories we tell about ourselves are powerful. My job is to support persons in the amazing process of authoring themselves. I use strengths-based approaches to individual, couples, family, and group therapy. Relationships are a focus of my work, especially romantic relationships, parent-child and sibling relationships.
