I created Lioncrest Counseling to help others with finding their way to a healthy and balanced life. I enjoy working with individuals, adolescents, couples and families using Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy(DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), experiential, strengths-based and positive psychotherapy. I help clients with depression, anxiety, addiction, attachment issues, trauma, mood disregulation, grief and loss, and oppositional defiance. I am passionate about identifying needs and have a creative hands-on approach– using music, art and acting to help people work through their feeling and issues.

The bravery it takes to begin therapy is often underestimated. So is the pain. That pain is often a symptom of a psychological wound that needs to be treated with care and attentiveness. Working with me feels similar to physical therapy: soothing at times and challenging at others, but ultimately, healing.

At YPS we hope to partner with you and your family. YPS has been a leading provider of services in central Florida since opening in 2013. As a clinical and forensic psychologist Dr. Yount has conducted hundreds of evaluations, worked with various ages across many settings: outpatient, inpatient, professional athletes, college students, etc. We now have a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) on staff who provides ABA therapy for children ages 2 to 8 years old for early intervention. We are not presently accepting clients for mental health counseling.

We work with individuals with a wide range of concerns including depression, mood disorders, family relations issues, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders. We combine different therapeutic approaches based on client's presenting concerns, goals, and motivation, such as, cognitive-behavioral, brief therapy, mindfulness, client-centered, solution-focused therapy.

A clinical social worker with 17 years experience, Chad Anderson has successfully helped children, adolescents, and adults from all races, faiths, and sexual orientations work on individualized goals ranging from improving relationships, alleviating depression, reconciling faith with sexuality, managing addiction to avoid relapse, living with difficult mental health conditions, managing life change, and more. Chad wants to make sure you leave every session with something concrete to work on so you can notice changes in your life now, and recognize progress over time. Each client is given an individual treatment plan.

Healing Pathways Therapy Center provides a safe nurturing environment for adults, adolescents, and children to focus on relationship, well-being and mental health issues. We focus on topics such as life adjustment, depression, anxiety, relationship and family issues, divorce, phobias, trauma, addictions, etc. We specialize in trauma and childhood attachment issues, working to resolve big or little traumas or negative experiences which tend to impede emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual growth.
