I believe that everyone has a story and it deserves to be heard. My approach to counseling is to empower the client while maintaining a therapeutic and professional relationship. I believe that the counselor should not work harder than the client and the client should not work harder than the counselor. I will work hand in hand with the client, toward goals that are appropriate to their situation.

I believe that each individual has the strength and potential to live the life they have always dreamed of living! I am passionate about working with children and families. I have particular interest in helping stressed families deal with challenges associated with parenting and family dynamics. I truly believe that individuals know how to solve their own problems, however, they may lack self-confidence, support, or the courage to do so. Anxiety catches us and fear holds us, but we are not destined to live a life without hope!

My client population includes children, adolescents and adults. I work with individuals as well as families. I facilitate numerous groups and skills training curriculum in various topics including adolescent first offenders, anger management, divorce and separation, parenting, and teen issues.

Some people go through them on their own, but sometimes it takes a professional, unbiased perspective to help. People are the result of both nature (inherited traits) and nurture (environment) which form lenses through which we perceive the world. Through life experience, lenses can become scratched or cloudy. Bring the drive to improve and I will provide the experience, empathy, and knowledge. Seeking therapy is a very brave/positive step, although scary.
