I received my masters of education from Cambridge College in Mental Health Counseling and have been practicing for 5 years but dedicated and compassionate therapist with a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and achieve their fullest potential.

I specialize in working with adolescent girls and young adult women (ages 10-25). I have experience in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, self harm, suicidal ideation, familial challenges, and relationship changes. I am committed to fostering a safe and comfortable experience to help my clients do the important work of understanding the most troubling parts of their lives and relationships.

Krystal Elizabeth Garcia Deras (she/they) M.A., R-DMT is a bilingual/bicultural queer first-generation daughter of immigrants native to Honduras and Nicaragua, and a student of opening her heart wider to herself, life, and all their relations in spirit and in flesh. They are the first college graduate of their Garcia family, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from Bryn Mawr College in 2013 and Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling Specializing in Dance/Movement Therapy from Lesley University in 2020.

My goal is to provide a safe and affirming space, especially for transgender, non-binary, gender expansive, queer/LGBTQIA+ adolescents and young adults. I specialize in treating people who have experienced trauma, mood disorders, eating disorders, and psychosis. My expertise includes working with adults, youth, and families. I am passionate about working with adolescents and young adults on identity formation. Most youth I have worked with have identified as part of the LGBTQ+ community, with particular focus on gender identity and affirmation. As a holistic practitioner, I give consideration for intersectional factors of race, ability, culture, and other dimensions of identity as well.
