I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor working with children and families. My experience as a School Counselor provides me with a unique insight into the social-emotional support children and their families can benefit from when children are understood, families are supported, and tools are provided for children and their support systems.

I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults with anxiety and depression as well as learning, school, relationship, and chronic health issues. Through my experience in school, college, and neuropsychology settings, I am able to support youth and families seeking psychotherapy for challenges they face across various domains of their lives. I strive to maintain a warm therapeutic environment and work collaboratively with clients to tailor treatments to meet each client's specific needs.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Board-Certified Music Therapist, who has experience working with infants, children, adolescents, adults, and their families. I specialize in diagnoses related to neurological disorders, including traumatic brain injuries, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, learning disabilities, developmental and speech delays. My areas of interest also include: post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, social-emotional challenges, grief, low self-esteem, conflicts related to major life transitions, life threatening diseases, and chronic pain.

Whether working with children, teens, adults, or families, I believe that most problems -and their solutions- are best understood in the context of relationships. I create a space where people can develop curiosity about thoughts, beliefs, and ways of interacting that feel constraining and move toward more preferred ways of being.

I offer free initial individual and couples consultations, in which I work with clients to identify their therapeutic goals in order to create greater self-awareness and personal growth. The focus is also in developing tools in order to better cope with any symptoms they are experiencing.

As a licensed mental health counselor who has been in the field for a number of years, I have worked with children, teenagers, adults of all ages, caregivers, couples and families in order to produce desirable outcomes in areas that have caused conflict or dissatisfaction in the past or currently. I am experienced in collaborating with my clients in identifying what the need is in each case, in order to take necessary steps to create positive change. I support clients who are experiencing high stress, are in crisis and have complex struggles and needs.

RVCC is a multi-service community-based mental health agency serving the Pioneer Valley since 1953. RVCC offers counseling and medication management at offices located in offices located in Holyoke, Chicopee, Easthampton, Springfield, and Westfield. RVCC also provides counseling in schools throughout Hampden and Hampshire Counties and on the campuses of Springfield Technical Community College and Bay Path University.
