Welcome! I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Indiana and I provide ON-LINE SERVICES ONLY. I received an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis in 2003. Since then I have worked in various capacities in the mental health field in several states. It’s so rewarding to help people navigate their struggles and learn new skills to help them move through life more easily. My favorite moment in therapy is when something finally clicks for the client and all of the sudden a shift occurs. After being stuck and in so much pain there’s finally a new path that brings hope.

I assist children, adults, couples, and families in addressing the concerns that may be holding them back from the life they want. It is a fact that if our needs are not being met then we don't function well at home, school, work, or socially. I empower clients to meet their needs in healthy ways to live more fulfilling lives.

Understanding youth, my goal is to ease the uncertainty and confusion of growing up. With over 30 years of teaching experience I chose to remain in the classroom to maintain contact with what's going on in the adolescent and young adult (college) world until I went into practice full-time in 2020. Knowing their experiences in a broad perspective, gave me insight into our youths questions, concerns and life challenges. This has proven to be an asset in the counseling world! Few licensed therapists share this experience and expertise.

In 1987, I helped develop CenterPoint Counseling. I currently serve as their Executive Director and we have a staff of ten therapists. I am trained as a Marriage and Family Therapist and licensed as both a Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Social Worker. I also have a Doctorate in Pastoral Care and Counseling and am ordained as a Presbyterian Minister (P.C.U.S.A.) I am on the National Registry of Marriage Friendly Therapist. I work with individuals dealing with anxiety and depression issues. I see couples, partners and spouses and am certified as an Imago Relationship Therapist.

I am a licensed mental health therapist in private practice geographically located North of Indianapolis in Fishers, Indiana. My focus is a mind/body/spirit approach with a background in ayurveda and spiritual training. I have developed a program to recover the operating system of the sub-conscious mind to relieve clients of emotional distress related to depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, etc. This process begins the release of old patterns of thought and decision making which produce the by-products of distress in the emotional body.

A trusting therapeutic relationship is essential for treating a variety of psychological issues. I pride myself on utilizing my clinical training on a variety of psychotherapeutic techniques/interventions suitable for each individual I work with. The process of psychotherapy is to be consistent, patient and enlightening, whether the individual is in childhood or adulthood. Assisting an individual through the process of Self discovery is an honor and a privilege.

My approach in counseling is to create a client-centered, safe, and empathetic environment where each person I can feel supported in their journey toward healing and growth. I try to meet each person where they are to start moving toward their goals. It is a process that might take time, but I hope to join my clients in each step of the journey.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience in working with adolescents, adults, and families who have experienced trauma and loss. I have worked in a variety of settings, including home-based therapy and outpatient therapy. I have specialized knowledge in working with adoption and trauma.

Dr. Samuels specializes in the provision of forensic assessment services including parental competency, violence risk assessment, sexual offender risk assessment, mental status at the time of the offense, criminal competencies (e.g. competency to stand trial), malingering and psychopathy. Dr. Samuels is also capable of providing a wide array of psychological assessments including fitness for duty, employment screenings, intellectual disability, worker's compensation, independent medical evaluations as well as neuropsychological screening assessments.
