I assist individuals to identify their self-defeating attitudes by interpreting their early childhood memories. Some common self-defeating attitudes are: there is something wrong with me; I can't have fun; I can't relax. These attitudes are reinforced by self-defeating behaviors. Some common self-defeating behaviors are: Saying yes when you really want to say no; and avoids setting limits with people. The main goal is to challenge and change the self-defeating attitudes and behaviors to healthy attitudes and behaviors. This will enable one to being happy and comfortable and really enjoying life.
