Empowering women and adolescent girls to assert their needs and ask for care and respect is the cornerstone of my practice. Taking care of yourself can be hard to do in dysfunctional relationships, divorce situations, or when you are struggling with social anxiety. My goal is to help you identify your individual strengths, gifts and talents and begin to rely on them to effectively maneuver yourself through your struggles. I believe by recognizing patterns of behavior and gaining confidence in yourself, you can choose a different path and the end result will be a calmer, happier, more-fulfilling life.

Youth & Family Counseling (YFC) is a family friendly counseling center located in Libertyville. I work with children, teens, and adults, and I've become pretty good at engaging even the most reluctant. I really enjoy helping others find their identity and their comfortable space. I tend to work with anxiety disorders, trauma, and family conflict. Of course, what is trauma and conflict without stress, anger, and low moods? I've worked with pretty much everything, and helping people identify their needs, goals, and a direction is very satisfying.

Helping restore a sense of balance and self-worth to my client’s lives is my passion. My experience has spanned over 14 years, with a strong foundation in child and adolescent pathology. My philosophy is to work collaboratively in goal development and attainment, to highlight the connection among faulty thinking, feelings, and ineffective coping patterns and promote healthy changes. Through empowerment to challenge these factors, comes a renewed sense of confidence, strengths, and effective skills to manage life’s stressors and relationships.

Ariele is a licensed clinical professional counselor, a nationally certified counselor and a board-certified dance/movement therapist. She is trained as a yoga and prenatal yoga teacher. Through her practice, Ariele guides her clients in trying on new qualities of actions/behaviors and thoughts. She assists her clients in learning how to move metaphorically and physically in new and healthier ways, allowing for an increased sense of control, mastery and self-empowerment.

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience working with individuals who are neurodiverse or have anxiety or depression. I enjoy helping clients who have new diagnoses of ADHD and/or Autism understand and work to process their new identity. I’m a mother of two young children who are neurodiverse. I find using experiences with my own children and my professional knowledge enables me to successfully help parents who are struggling with parenting neurotypical or neurodiverse children or children with developmental delays. I am also fluent in Spanish, and I enjoy working with individuals from other cultures.
